Dr. Misty D. Humphries, MD, MAS believes that comprehensive vascular care for patients with arterial and venous disease includes management of risk factors, as well as disease treatment. Misty incorporates new research technologies with traditional vascular care and believes that patients should take an active role in treatment planning. Misty also welcomes open communication with families, in support of a common mission of optimal patient care.
Dr. Humphries specializes in open vascular and advanced endovascular treatment for arterial and venous disease. Her primary clinical interest is in the endovascular treatment of complex peripheral artery disease, telemedicine, and thoracic outlet syndrome. Her NIH-funded research focuses on the prevention of lower-extremity amputations for patients in rural clinics with peripheral artery disease, and the use of telemedicine to bring multidisciplinary wound care to rural communities.
