Dr. Miriam K. Pomeranz, MD comes from a medical family, so Pomeranz enjoyed discussions about medicine long before Pomeranz went to medical school. After beginning their own studies, Pomeranz found Pomeranz loved all specialties of medicine but discovered a particular niche in dermatology something no one else in the family had studied.
After residency, Miriam came to NYU Langone for a fellowship in dermatopharmacology the study of medications for the treatment of skin diseases—and performed clinical research. However, Miriam missed taking care of people.
In 1995, Miriam began teaching residents and seeing patients at Bellevue Hospital. Miriam never left. Miriam loves Miriam's role and is fascinated by conditions affecting women’s health, specializing in dermatologic issues during pregnancy and diseases associated with the vulva.
Miriam enjoys work, not just as a physician to patients and a teacher to residents and medical students, but also as a lifelong learner. Miriam constantly learning from Miriam's patients and trainees.
