Miquel Bernardo MD, PhD

Miquel Bernardo, principal investigator of CIBERSAM at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona and professor at the University of Barcelona, ​​has been appointed professor of Psychiatry at the University of Barcelona.

Dr. Bernardo develops his assistance task in the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, ​​as a Senior Consultant of the Psychiatry Service and director of the Clinical Schizophrenia Unit, and was president of the Spanish Society of Biological Psychiatry (2012-2016) and is currently president of the Spanish Foundation for Psychiatry and Mental Health (FEPSM).

Dr. Bernardo's research line is focused on schizophrenia, in the following areas: first psychotic episodes and early phases of the disease; physical health and lifestyles; biomarkers, translational and precision psychiatry; neuropsi-cology, psychological interventions, and psychometric evaluation; neuropsicofarma-cología and biological treatments.
