Minghua Wu MD, PhD

Dr. Wu was awarded her medical degree from Norman Bethune College of Medicine Jilin University in China and her Ph.D. degree from Tokyo Medical & Dental University in Japan. She completed her first postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine at Chicago and second fellowship training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She joined the faculty as an instructor of Medicine in 2012 and became assistant professor in 2014. She is the awardee of The Mark Flapan Award from Scleroderma Foundation in 2014. Her research interests include contribution of biological pathways including type I interferons to development and progression of autoimmune disease and in related animal models, as well as genetic factors influencing susceptibility to autoimmune diseases. She is currently a Principal Investigator of Scleroderma Foundation New Investigator Grant.
