Milisa Rizer, MD, MPH, CPHIMS, FHIMSS is the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Rizer received her undergraduate degree in nursing from The Ohio State University and her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. She completed a residency program in Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC and her Master’s Degree in Public Health, in Health Administration and Policy from the University of Alabama, Birmingham.

Dr. Rizer has served on the faculties at Georgetown University, Washington DC, as well as the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, San Antonio and the University of Cincinnati before joining Ohio State in 2002 as the Vice-Chair for clinical services in the Department of Family Medicine. She was appointed CMIO in May of 2012. She was the first CMIO for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians, board certified in family medicine and clinical informatics.
