Milan Patel MD

Dr. Milan Patel, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a board-certified gastroenterologist in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at VCU Health and the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. In his clinical role, he provides expert care for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, combining compassionate patient care with academic excellence. Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, where he built a strong foundation in clinical medicine and patient-centered care.

Following medical school, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the VCU Health System, gaining broad training that prepared him for specialist practice. To further focus his expertise, Dr. Patel pursued advanced training through a Gastroenterology fellowship at VCU Health, where he developed specialized skills in the diagnosis and management of complex digestive diseases, including disorders of the liver, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract.
