Mikhail (“misha” ) Papisov PhD

Dr Mikhail “Misha” Papisov, is Associate Professor of Radiology (Harvard Medical School), Investigator (Massachusetts General Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children). He is also the Head of Molecular Pharmacology and Pharmacological Imaging laboratory and Scientific Founder of Mersana Therapeutics (NASDAQ : MRSN).

Dr Papisov received his MS in Chemistry from Moscow State University in 1982 and PhD in Biology and Biochemistry from the National Cardiology Research Center of the Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow in 1988.

His area of research includes: development of macromolecular and “nano” therapeutics with emphasis on novel physiological aspects of macromolecule transport in vivo; structure-pharmacokinetics relationships of macromolecular therapeutics; and quantitative preclinical imaging. Dr Papisov’s special research focus is transport processes in the liquid compartments surrounding and traversing CNS.
