Mikhail Kazachkov is a Chief of the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology and Director of Gastroesophageal, Upper Airway and Respiratory Diseases (GUARD) Center at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at New York University, USA
Professor Kazachkov did his pediatric pulmonary training first in Saint Petersburg, Russia and later in University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. He obtained in-depth expertize in pediatric bronchoscopy, which defined his career, which is all dedicated to treating children with chronic cough, asthma, pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, and other respiratory conditions.
He often sees children with complex, or difficult-to-diagnose conditions, and takes care of them with his team from NYU Langone’s Pediatric Gastroesophageal, Upper Airway, and Respiratory Diseases (GUARD) Center. He has major interest and expertize in aerodigestive disorders and in management of neurologically impaired children with chronic respiratory problems. He serves as a Pulmonologist for Familial Dysautonomia Center at NYU. Dr. Kazachkov’s research analyses causes of chronic cough in children. He studies aerodigestive disorders and actively participates in microbiome studies at NYU.
