Mike Storkey

Mike Storkey is a business trainer and coach at Storkeys' Team, a business he co-founded in 2005. Mike and Lesley have formed a partnership that, with over twenty-five years of experience in communications and training. , understands how to bring out the best in your business, organisation or company through personalised education and training of teams. During their business careers, both Lesley & Mike have honed their communication and leadership skills for over 25 years of training and facilitation and communicating with both large and small groups. Their extensive training was initially gained from membership of Toastmasters International, the world’s leading communication and leadership organization. Both Mike and Lesley have presented keynotes and educational sessions in over ten countries worldwide. Their audiences comprise participants of differing nationalities, ethnicity and cultures. Mike holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Mike is responsible for direction in strategic planning and policy. In addition, as a Past President of the Rotary Club of Airlie Beach and a Paul Harris Fellow (the highest accolade awarded to Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike for service and a substantial contribution to Rotary’s humanitarian and educational programmes), Mike is Past District Trainer for District 9550. This district covers 20% of Australia including Queensland north of the 21st parallel, Northern Territory and Timor Leste. Mike, in this role, was involved with leadership training for the club leaders, and his position incorporated training for effective communication skills and strategic planning amongst other skills. Mike retains an active membership of Rotary International. Amongst other community involvement, Mike Storkey was the founding President of the Whitsunday Chamber of Commerce.
