Professor Slade has pioneered research in recovery. He is currently Professor of Health Services Research at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London, and is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in South London. His research includes recovery and outcome focused mental health services and service user involvement, which has been highly influential. He has also made a key contribution to research on needs assessments and residential alternatives to inpatient services, and developing measures.
