Mikael Kastengren MD

Mikael Kastengren Mikael Kastengren is a Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder at Medoma. He graduated from the Karolinska Institute in 2013 and has since been working as a Medical Doctor practicing both cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology at the Karolinska University Hospital.

As a clinician, he treats patients with advanced heart disease with a special focus on aortic and mitral valve disease. He is also conducting research and writing his doctoral thesis at the Karolinska Institute with the aim to improve patient outcomes for patients undergoing heart valve procedures.

His research interests are Cardiology, Aortic Diseases, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Endocrine Surgery, Anesthesia, and Interventional Cardiology.
