Miguel Angel Martinez-garcia MD, PhD FERS

Miguel Angel Martinez-Garcia, MD from the University of Valencia. He is currently Head of the Pulmonology Section at the La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital in Valencia. In addition, he is the Research Coordinator of the "Area of ​​Respiratory Diseases" and Coordinator of the "Respiratory Disorders during Sleep Unit", belonging to the Pulmonology Service of the La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital in Valencia.

From the point of view of research, his work focuses on sleep apnea in special groups and its relationship with cardiovascular pathology and cancer; and on bronchiectasis both in clinical and therapeutic aspects

He collaborates as associate editor of the journal " European Respiratory Journal ", the second journal with the highest European impact factor in pulmonology. He has more than 200 publications including originals, reviews, editorials, book chapters, and other formats. He is the editor of 5 books on sleep apnea and bronchiectasis. He has given more than 200 presentations at both national and international conferences and conferences. Author of two National Regulations on sleep apnea and bronchiectasis and International Regulation about sleep apnea. Former president of the Valencian Society of Pulmonology and former member of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Society of Pulmonology. Coordinator of various courses and masters in cooperation with different Universities. 12 research awards. Reviewer of the international journals with the highest impact factor both in the field of Pulmonology and Internal Medicine.
