Michelle Thurman graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2004 but actually developed an interest in Diabetic foot management a couple of years before she even started her degree. Once she had her Podiatry qualification, she headed straight toward the goal of becoming a specialist in this area, determined to try and prevent people from losing their legs to diabetes and peripheral arterial disease. In 2009 she reached this goal and became part of a fantastic Foot Team in Tameside and Glossop where she helps prevent amputation as a Diabetes and Vascular Podiatrist. Alongside her area of expertise, she has lots of experience in the treatment of all common foot complaints such as thickened nails, verrucae, hard painful calluses, and ingrown nails. She spends most of the week in my NHS role but you can find me at our lovely clinic in Totley on a Wednesday working alongside a great team of physiotherapists.
