Michelle Odden is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences. She is also a member of the Center for Healthy Aging Research. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Epidemiology from University of California, Berkeley in 2006. In 2011, Odden came to OSU after a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.
She has recently received funding from the NIH Mentored Research Scientist Development Award. With this award, Odden will identify the strongest risk factors for cardiovascular disease in a National Institute for Health-funded cohort study of elders. She will also incorporate computer simulation of cardiovascular disease to identify the most promising interventions for this disease.
