Michelle Engelbrecht PhD

Michelle Engelbrecht has been with the University of Free State: Centre for Health Systems Research & Development (South Africa) for the past 14 years. In 2005 she obtained a Ph.D. (Interdisciplinary, Sociology, and Psychology) and was promoted to senior researcher in 2008. She has been registered as a research psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa since 1998. The main areas that she has worked in include: access to reproductive health care; HIV/AIDS care and treatment focusing on the role of the antiretroviral treatment program and the integration between TB and HIV/AIDS.
