Dr. Michelle Doll, MD, MPH, is an assistant professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases within the Department of Internal Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is also an associate hospital epidemiologist at VCU Health, where she focuses on improving patient safety and outcomes through infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives.

Dr. Doll’s clinical work spans inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care, including consultative services for general, transplant, and orthopedic patients, as well as management of complex infections and HIV care. She is deeply involved in hospital epidemiology, working to reduce healthcare-associated infections and enhance system-wide infection control practices.

Her academic interests center on quality improvement, public health, and infection prevention strategies. In addition to her clinical and research work, Dr. Doll is actively engaged in teaching medical students and trainees, contributing to both clinical education and public health instruction.

Dr. Doll completed her medical training at Temple University Hospital, where she also served as chief resident. She later pursued fellowship training in infectious diseases at the University of Maryland and earned a Master of Public Health at Virginia Commonwealth University, further specializing in hospital epidemiology.
