Michelle Clayton MD, MPH, FAAP

Dr. Clayton, medical director of CHKD's Child Abuse Program, is a fellowship-trained specialist in Child Abuse Pediatrics, board certified in Child Abuse Pediatrics (2009) by the American Board of Pediatrics and has been with CHKD's Child Abuse Program since 2004. She is an associate professor of pediatrics at EVMS as well as the director of the Child Abuse Fellowship Program. Dr. Clayton conducts research in the field, provides education for physicians and local investigative agencies on recognition of inflicted trauma, and is active on many state committees related to child welfare and child abuse prevention.
