Michelle Bailey BS

Michelle Bailey is the head of Validation for Continuous Manufacturing and Process Automation at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. In this role she provides Validation leadership and support to continuous manufacturing implementations at Vertex and CMO sites. Since joining Vertex she has established several computer system compliance functions as well as validation and change control programs with demonstrable success in inspections.

Michelle started her career in Formulation Development and throughout her 24 year career she has held various leadership roles to develop business units, programs and standardized practices for computerized system validation across varied health care companies including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, contract manufacturers, software providers, and medical device. This diverse exposure has provided Michelle with a broad and balanced perspective on automated system compliance and approaches.
