Michelle Angus MSc, BSc

Michelle Angus is a Consultant Physiotherapist at Salford Royal NHS Foundation trust working in the Emergency Village managing Complex Spinal Patients. Michelle specialised in the management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions 15 years ago and developed into the Advanced Practice management of these patients following completion of an MSc in the area in 2006; working in Orthopaedics, Primary Care (CATS) and the Emergency Department. Michelle completed her supplementary prescribing qualification in 2008 and has recently converted this to an independent qualification following a change in the legal position for physiotherapists. She now works for the complex spinal team at Salford Royal managing a caseload traditionally under the care of the Emergency Department, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery or Acute Physicians depending on the local trust agreement. She also leads a team of Advanced Practice Physiotherapists in the Emergency Department and Orthopaedic Trauma.
