Michel Zerah PhD

Michel ZERAH is head of the department of Pediatric Neurosurgery in the Hopital des Enfants Malades (Necker Hospital) in Paris, France. He is president of the French Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery, past president of the European society of Pediatric Neurosurgery and treasurer of the French Langage Society of Neurosurgery. He is member of the French National Academy of Surgery. He has been trained in Paris and has a PhD in Mathematics, Statistic and Computer Science. He has been in charge of the European course of Pediatric Neurosurgery from 2002 to 2014.

He is particularly involved in training in Pediatric Neurosurgery in developing countries specially in Africa and Asia and since 1998 has developed a special collaboration with the Pediatric Neurosurgery organisation in South Vietnam. He has special interest in Antenatal Neurosurgery, Brain Gene Therapy, Spine and spinal cord surgery and in Healthcare Information and Management System. He has published 205 medical articles, more than 40 book chapters and has given more than 350 international invited lectures.
