Michel Ducreux MD, PhD

Prof. Michel Ducreux is head of the gastro-digestive committee at Gustave Roussy. Trained as a gastroenterologist, Michel Ducreux has been a university professor in oncology since 2005. He is the author of more than 400 articles published in indexed journals. His research focuses on the management of metastatic colorectal cancer, metastatic pancreatic carcinoma, biliary carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors. Professor Ducreux participates in numerous clinical trials, focusing on new therapeutic approaches for colon and pancreatic cancers.

Regularly invited to the largest international scientific congresses, Michel Ducreux led the digestive group of the EORTC (European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer), is a member of the ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology), the ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology), the French Society of Gastroenterology and the French Cancer Society. He is also a member of the Ethics Committee of the National League against Cancer and co-editor of the European Journal of Cancer, and a member of the National Council of Universities. Also a sports doctor, Professor Ducreux campaigns for all actions taken in favor of physical activity for patients or former cancer patients.
