Michel De Baar MSc, PhD, MBA

Michel is a business development and licensing professional with experience in all steps of business transaction processes within the global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and diagnostics industries. He uses his expertise to help companies and institutes to partner their products and projects as well as to efficiently progress and develop these products through focused project management. His key attribute is to bridge science and business.

For MSD he is responsible for business development and licensing in the therapeutic areas of Infectious Diseases & Vaccines, Cardiovascular & Metabolic Diseases, Immunology & Inflammation. Prior to joining MSD, Michel was one of the directors of the Pirbright Institute (UK), which followed after he had stepped out of an antibacterial drug development company he co-founded in the Netherlands. Michel is a member of the Licensing Executives Society (LES).
