Michal Tendera MD, FESC

Michal Tendera is Professor and Chair of Cardiology at the Upper-Silesian Cardiac Center, Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. He trained at Silesian School of Medicine in Katowice (Poland) and at Vanderbilt University, Nashville (USA). Professor Tendera’s research interests are in the field of heart failure, coronary heart disease, stem cell biology and therapy, and interventional cardiology. He served as President of the Polish Cardiac Society (1995-1998) and of the European Society of Cardiology (2004-2006).
