Dr. hab. med. Michal Lew-Starowicz, Prof. CMKP, Prof. Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology. A graduate of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Warsaw (2004). In 2002 and 2003 he completed clinical internships at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Heidelberg. In the years 2006-2010, he worked at the National Specialist Medical Clinic of the Family Development Society in Warsaw. In 2014-2019, he headed the Department of Treatment of First Symptoms of Psychosis and Prevention of Relapses at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw. In addition, in 2017-2019 he was the Deputy Director of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology for Research.

Currently, apart from the Lew-Starowicz Therapy Center, he is the Head of the Department of Psychiatry in the Medical Center of Postgraduate Education in Warsaw. He still remains scientifically associated with the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology. He was the first in Poland to obtain a sexual medicine specialist (FECSM) certificate, affiliated with the European Union of Medical Specialists.

In 2008 he defended his doctoral dissertation on sexual dysfunction in hemodialysis patients. In 2015, he was awarded the title of habilitated doctor. In 2018, he obtained the position of a professor at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology, and in 2019 a professor at the Medical Center of Postgraduate Education. Scientific editor of the monograph "Sexologia", author and co-author of several dozen articles in scientific journals and many scientific and popular science books.
