Michal J. Toborek MD, PhD

Michal J. Toborek is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Miami. Dr. Toborek's laboratory has a strong interest in studies on the involvement of the brain endothelium in brain metastases. Specifically, the laboratory evaluates how the adhesive and chemotactic properties of the brain endothelium influence the transendothelial migration of tumor cells into the brain. Important aspects of this project involve the evaluation of the protective effects of exercise against the development of brain metastases.
