Michael W. Belin MD

Michael W. Belin, MD, is a professor of ophthalmology and vision science at the University of Arizona Department of Ophthalmology and Southern Arizona Veterans Administration Health Care System (Tucson, Arizona). He is also an adjunct professor of ophthalmology at Albany Medical College (Albany, New York) and the University of Ottawa (Ottawa, Ontario).

Dr. Belin is a past president of the Cornea Society (2006-2008) and served as Vice President for International Development from 2009-2015. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology and served on the Board of Directors, the Medical Advisory Board and the Executive Committee of the Eye Bank Association of America. Dr. Belin is chair of the American University Professors of Ophthalmology Fellowship Compliance Committee. He is a recipient of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Honor Award, Senior Honor Award, Achievement Award and Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Belin has published over 125 peer-reviewed articles in addition to numerous book chapters and is a frequent international lecturer.
