Mike's practice is devoted primarily to assisting health care providers with practical solutions to the rapidly expanding challenges associated with implementing, managing and interconnecting health information technology (HIT). He regularly advises clients on physician/hospital transactions, as well as provides general regulatory guidance related to federal Stark Law, Anti-Kickback, Fraud and Abuse, HIPPA, HITECH and state data security laws. He advises numerous health systems on the development and implementation of electronic health record (EHR) solutions, EHR subsidy programs, meaningful use compliance, and formation of and participation in regional health information organizations (RHIOs) and health information exchanges (HIEs).
