Dr. Rohrer is Professor and Director of the Hard Tissue Research Laboratory, School of Dentistry, University of Minnesota.
Dr. Rohrer has authored/co-authored over 85 publications, book chapters and instructional programs in the area of oral and maxillofacial pathology. Since spending his first sabbatical leave in 1986 with Prof. Dr. Dr. Karl Donath at the University of Hamburg, Germany, Dr. Rohrer's research interests have primarily been in the histologic and histomorphometric evaluation of bone, bone implants, bone grafting materials, and bone enhancing strategies. He brought the Donath/EXAKT technique of non-decalcified histotechnology to the Western Hemisphere in 1987.
