Michael Ramirez MD

Dr. Ramirez graduated from the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. He then completed his family medicine residency program at the Ventura Family Medicine Residency Program in Ventura, California. He is now the Emergency Medicine and Critical Care fellow at the Ventura County Medical Center.

He has a passion for education and has trained resident physicians in inpatient medicine and procedural medicine. He has authored multiple clinical articles, including three chapters in the Current Practice Guideline in Inpatient Medicine published by McGraw-Hill. He is a very strong proceduralist with particular expertise in point-of-care ultrasound, central line placement, arterial line placement, intraosseous line placement, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement among other bedside procedures.
