As a child, Michael Spano suffered from allergies. His only relief came with acupuncture- a field he decided to pursue once when it becomes possible to study Chinese Medicine in the U.S. As a former restaurant manager, he observed daily how poor dietary and lifestyle choices influenced the health of his employees, customers, and fellow managers.
Since his career change to Chinese Medicine in 1999, he works, publishes and teaches in an integrative medical setting at the University of Texas MD Anderson Medical Center where he regularly incorporates foot reflexology into his acupuncture services. He has traveled in Asia, Latin American and Europe to research natural healing methods including foot reflexology paths.
