Michael R. Mcclung MD, FACP, FACE

Dr. Michael R. McClung is the Founding and now Emeritus Director of the Oregon Osteoporosis Center in Portland. After completing a fellowship in Endocrinology at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, he has held several academic appointments.

At the Oregon Osteoporosis Center, Dr. McClung had an active clinical practice and was the principal investigator in many clinical trials evaluating the role of bone density testing and the effects of therapeutic agents for that disease. He has been actively involved in the training of young physicians and the development of clinical guidelines for several national osteoporosis societies and currently serves on the Board of the International Osteoporosis Foundation.
