Dr. Sprintz completed his medical degree from Midwestern University-Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, his residency in anesthesiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of South Florida, and a pain medicine fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is triple board-certified in pain medicine, addiction medicine, and anesthesiology. A prolific writer and lecturer published author and nationally recognized expert on chronic pain and substance use disorders,
Dr. Sprintz’s insight, experiences, and resources are extensive. He is a member of the FDA’s advisory committee, is a past President of the Texas Society of Addiction Medicine, and has been involved with multiple ASAM national committees. Dedicated to life-long learning, he has been an assistant professor at the University of Texas since 2018.
