Professor Michael Feneley is the Director of the Heart Lung Clinical Stream and Cardiology at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, and oversees the Departments of Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Heart and Lung Transplantation. He is Conjoint Professor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales, was Chairman of the Commonwealth Government’s Cardiac Imaging Management Committee and is a past President of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.

He was the inaugural Chairman of the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in CT Coronary Angiography (CTCA). In addition to echocardiography and CTCA, his research interests in the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute include small animal models of cardiovascular diseases, particularly molecular signalling pathways in the control of cardiac hypertrophy and contractility. He is a recipient of the RT Hall Prize and a Life Member of the Cardiac Society. In 2012, he was named a Member of the Order of Australia
