Michael Newby JD

Mike is a director with HDJN in Richmond, Virginia. His legal practice is comprised of advising hospitals, health systems, physicians, and other health care providers on issues related to tax-exempt status, fraud and abuse, regulatory compliance, and contracting issues. Mike received his B.A. from Randolph-Macon College and his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law. He is licensed to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Georgia. He has been identified in the list of Rising Stars in health law in Super Lawyers Magazine and within the “Legal Elite” within Virginia Business Magazine. Mike is a fellow with the Healthcare Financial Management Association and is actively involved with the Virginia-DC HFMA Chapter.
