Michael Margarson MBBS, MD, FRCA, Dipl ICM(UK), FFICM

Dr. Margarson trained in London, Oxford, Munich and Sydney and is now a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Director of Critical Care at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, UK.
His current interests are mainly focused around the airway and anaesthesia for the morbidly obese, and Obstructive Sleep Apnea in the Peri-operative setting. He is secretary of the UK Society for Obesity and Bariatric Anaesthesia (SOBA), a board member of the international Society for the Peri-operative Care of the Obese Patient (ISPCOP) and active in the sub-committees of the Society for Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine.
He is also Chair of the Wessex Intensive Care Society. In a previous existence, his academic interest was microvascular permeability and he still maintains an interest in this area.
