Michael Macknin MD

Michael Macknin is a professor of general pediatrics at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. At the Cleveland Clinic, he has served as chairman of general pediatrics, director of pediatric medical student clerkships, and student physician advisor.

His primary responsibilities are clinical, and he has received the Community Pediatrician of the Year Award from the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His research is on general pediatric topics including plant-based nutrition. He currently serves on the editorial board of Pediatrics in Review.

Dr. Macknin is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and completed his pediatric residency and general pediatric fellowship and outpatient chief residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital.
