Professor Michael Koutsilieris graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens, in 1980. He is a Professor of Experimental Physiology at the Medical School of the University of Athens with rich research, teaching and writing record. From 1982 until 1998- after he had completed his post-graduate studies – he worked at the Universities of McGill, Sherbooke and Laval as a researcher at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and as a Professor of Physiology and Endocrinology in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

He has published hundreds of research papers in reputable Greek and international scientific journals, participating in international conferences and events. Professor Koutsilieris has a distinguished record of ethical leadership, as well as extensive administrative experience. He was awarded with the Volunteerism Award, of the Ministry of Health in Greece and the Distinguished Researcher Award, of the Helenic Society of Obesity. As a Distinguished Fellow of New Westminster College, Professor Dr. Michael Koutsilieris is dedicated to supporting the highest standards of academic excellence.
