Dr. Michael Essandoh earned his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 2005. He then completed an anesthesiology residency and a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic in 2010. He practices as a cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesiologist at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he serves as the Associate Director of Anesthesiology Clinical Research. Dr. Essandoh has been involved in over 20 multicenter clinical trials and has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles in cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia. He is a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography and has authored a book chapter about echocardiography for mitral valve assessment. His research focuses on cardiovascular implantable electronic devices, coronary stents, and left ventricular assist devices.
