Michael Hengartner PhD, MSc

Michael Hengartner studied clinical psychology, psychopathology, and criminology at the University of Zurich. He completed a PhD in psychopathology and clinical psychology and obtained a habilitation (qualification for professorship) in medicine (division of psychiatry). He is a senior researcher and lecturer at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Department of Applied Psychology, division of clinical psychology and health psychology. He also teaches psycho-social medicine at the University of Zurich, Medical Faculty, as well as psychopathology at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, School of Applied Psychology. His main research interests are psychiatric epidemiology, psychopathology, social psychiatry, public health, and health services research.
