Dr. Michael Griksaitis, MBBS, MSc, MRCPCH, FFICM is a Consultant Paediatric Intensivist at Southampton Children’s Hospital, and with the Southampton Oxford Retrieval Service (SORT). His specific interest is acute resuscitation and cardiac intensive care. He co-led the regional SORT outreach service and taught all aspects of critical care medicine to the post-graduate multi-disciplinary team involved in looking after critically ill or injured infants and children.
He is active in critical care and physiological research, particularly related to topics of cardiac function and cardiac output, and has published work on these topics. He is also an active participant in medical education. He regularly teaches undergraduate medical students all aspects of physiology and supervises the intercalated degree students' dissertation projects.
