Dr. Risbano holds an MD and MA graduating from Boston University Boston, Massachusetts in 2002. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University and fellowship training in Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine (PACCM) with additional training in Pulmonary Hypertension at the University of Colorado. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. As the Director of the Advanced Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing Program (ACPET) he performs comprehensive exercise testing for patients with dyspnea on exertion, exercise tolerance and fatigue.
Dr. Risbano's primary clinical interests include the diagnosis, treatment and management of pulmonary vascular disease which includes various forms of pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary embolic disease, as well as dyspnea on exertion and exercise intolerance. Dr. Risbano is a clinical trialist and currently has multiple clinical trials available to enroll patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension as well as pulmonary hypertension related to lung disease.
