Dr. Michael Burke is an associate professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His clinical expertise is general pediatrics.
In addition to his faculty appointment at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Burke is the Chairman of Pediatrics at Saint Agnes Hospital, a hospital serving Baltimore City and the counties west and south of the city. He has served in this capacity since 1992, and his role at Saint Agnes includes work as a pediatric hospitalist and educator of medical students and pediatric residents. Before joining the staff at Saint Agnes, Dr. Burke worked for six years in the Department of Pediatrics at Francis Scott Key Medical Center, now the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Dr. Burke received his M.D. from Syracuse University in 1983, and in 1986 he completed a residency in general pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin Medical School. He received his certification in pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics in 1988.
