Michael Dor MD, MPA

Dr. Michael Dor, M.D, M.P.A. is an active family physician in Jerusalem. He studied Medicine at Tel Aviv University, specialized in Family Medicine in Jerusalem, and is a graduate of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, with a Masters in Public Administration. During his work in the Israeli Health Ministry, he served as a Deputy Director of Health Management Services, in charge of hospitals and established the quality evaluation and licensing process of the system which included the introduction of the Joint Commission International to Israel.

Dr. Dor was nominated to be the personal physician of two Popes during papal visits to Israel. Three years ago Dr. Dor won the prestigious Presidential Award for his volunteer activities helping victims of human trafficking and the uninsured population of refugees. For the past few years, Dr. Dor functions as the Senior Medical Advisor for the Medical Cannabis Unit, and lectures in many institutions about cannabis. He established the first Academic cannabis courses and continues teaching Health Management in the University simultaneous to working as a family physician in Jerusalem.
