Dr Michael Brandt is an award-winning Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, known as much for his research achievements as for his dedication to his patients. An exceptional academic, Dr Brandt has received national and international recognition for both teaching and research. After specializing in Head and Neck Surgery (Otolaryngology) at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, he received the top international fellowship in reconstructive facial plastic surgery. There, at the University of Michigan, Dr. Brandt trained under the world-renowned Dr Shan Baker, the surgeon who literally wrote the textbook on reconstructive facial plastic surgery. Over his career, Dr Brandt has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles in various medical journals and is a sought after lecturer.

Dr Brandt has worked in several hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area and now lives and practices in Toronto. He has an active cosmetic and medical practice and dedicates much of his surgical practice in treating skin cancers of the face. As a doctor, he focuses on providing meticulous and professional medical care with a focus on safety and achieving natural results. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr Brandt is an Assistant Professor in the University of Toronto’s Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and sits on several national professional committees.

Dr Brandt has a wealth of research experience including project development, study design, implementation, and analysis. Dr Brandt applies these skills in both the academic and private sector and enjoys working collaboratively with technology start-ups and industrial partners seeking medical research and real-world applicability guidance.
