Michael Borte MD, PhD

Michael Borte is senior consultant and the Head of the Department of Pediatrics at St. Georg Hospital Leipzig in Germany, affiliated to the University of Leipzig. He is an appointed professor of pediatrics and pediatric immunologyat the University of Leipzig. Dr Borte is also the Director of the Immuno Deficiency Center Leipzig (IDCL), Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic and Research Center for Primary Immunodeficiencies at St. Georg Hospital, Leipzig.

Dr Borte's clinical and research interests include pediatric infectiology and immunology, with a focus on early recognition and therapy of primary immunodeficiencies, rheumatology, allergy, vaccination strategies, and travel medicine.
