Michael (mike) A. Hastings MSN, RN, CEN

Mr. Hastings has been active in the practice of emergency nursing and ED management for over 15 years – from rural and urban prehospital systems, to leading the research and quality program at the University of Kansas Hospital ED, to being the trauma program manager at Dell Children’s Medical Centers of Central Texas, to managing a freestanding emergency department and the ED at the Swedish Edmonds Emergency Department in Edmonds, Washington.

Currently, he is a Clinical Optimization Consultant for the Healthcare division of Phillips. Mr. Hastings has had a wide-ranging opportunity to experience the breadth of emergency practice and has been an active member of the Emergency Nurses Association since 2004. Subsequently he has had a progressively expanding leadership role in the association, concluding with his election as the 2020 President of the ENA.
