Dr. Michael Breda is a senior surgeon at the Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center, specializing in the broad spectrum of general surgery. His particular areas of specialization include advanced laparoscopic surgery and hernia repair. He is the recipient of numerous academic and professional awards, and author of multiple peer-reviewed scientific papers and surgical text book chapters. Dr. Breda is Clinical Professor of Surgery at OHSU, and is active in academic medicine and training of surgical residents. He serves as an Examination Consultant for the American Board of Surgery. He is the former Division Chief for General and Vascular Surgery, and now serves as Vice-Chief for the Division. He recertified with the American Board of Surgery in 2012 with a score in the 99th percentile.
