Micah Joel Cost PharmD, MS

Dr. Cost completed his bachelor’s degree at Lipscomb University and his PharmD at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy. Dr. Cost also earned a post-graduate Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Health Policy from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Cost joined TPA in 2008 as the Executive Resident in Association Management and Health Policy and has served since that time as the Director of Professional Affairs for TPA. In this role, he has provided support and resources to TPA members and partners through the implementation and delivery of many educational training programs and patient care grants focused on increasing patient access to pharmacist-provided care and elevating patient care standards within pharmacy practice in Tennessee.

Dr. Cost has taught hundreds of pharmacists and student pharmacists in the practice areas of pharmacy-based immunization delivery, diabetes care, and medication therapy management, among others. In addition, Dr. Cost brings a wealth of experience and policy knowledge to this position, as well as important relationships with association partners at the state and national levels.
