Dr. Mia E. Miller, MD, is a board-certified Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon and is fellowship-trained in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery. Dr. Miller is trained in the medical and surgical management of all aspects of otolaryngology, with specialized training in ear-related disorders. She was initially drawn to otology and neurotology by her love for microsurgery as well as the development and advances made in cochlear implantation. As a neurotologist, she loves to improve patients’ lives through hearing improvement, skull base surgery, and medical management of otologic disease.

Before joining Cedars-Sinai in 2021, Dr. Miller also practiced at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center and the House Ear Clinic. She enjoys providing the highest level of care to her patients and witnessing the profound impact treatment has on their quality of life. Dr. Miller graduated Summa Cum Laude from Harvard College with an AB in Biochemical Sciences, where she was awarded a John Harvard Scholarship and won the Detur Prize for Academic Excellence. That was followed by a research fellowship in the Laboratory of Biochemistry at L’Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, France, after which she earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Miller then completed a surgical internship in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA, followed by an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at the same institution, where she served as chief resident. Before her UCSF appointment, Dr. Miller completed a two-year clinical fellowship in the Department of Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery at UC San Diego. Dr. Miller’s research interests are in the areas of imaging modalities and Meniere’s disease.
