Meridale Vaught Baggett, MD, is a member of the Core Eductor Faculty in the Department of Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency and served as Chief Medical Resident at the University of Washington in Seattle before joining the Core Educator Faculty at MGH in 2008.
In addition to her work as an academic hospitalist, she is an Associate Editor of the New England Journal of Medicine "Case Records of the Massachusetts General Hospital." She co-directs the Internal Medicine Leadership Program and is an Associate Director for the MGH DOM Swartz Initiative for humanism in medicine. Her academic interests include bedside teaching, encouraging learners to be active participants in improving systems of care, building and maintaining physician resiliency and leadership development for physicians in training.
